Our Wish List

Our Future Depends On You!

Our Center needs donations in order to continue critical services. If you can help us with any items listed below, please contact us.

  • Multi-Media Projector

  •       The Tucson Wildlife Center believes that education is the best investment we can make for our community. We have built an education program that focuses on giving presentations throughout the school system, libraries and clubs. We have provided over 55 presentations with the children’s ages ranging from elementary to high school. We work hard to provide
presentations that are enlightening and challenging to the young mind. Because of our expansion to larger audiences, we are in desperate need of a multi-media projector. We are asking your assistance in helping us find this donated equipment as a tax-deductible item. Your generous gift would help us continue our educational presentations to the Tucson community.

  • Maintenance Cart or Golf Cart

  •        We could really use an electric maintenance cart. The enclosures are rather spread out for the sake of the animals' privacy and wellbeing, which makes for a long walk with a lot of equipment. A maintenance cart will cut down on the amount of time and physical man-power it takes to care for the wildlife in our center. A golf cart that can be modified would work as well.

  • Fruit and Vegetables

  •        Many of the animals need produce every day and even prickly pear when we can get it {especially the Javelinas}. We go though a large amount and need a constant supply to be able to give them the proper nutrition that they need. Regular donations of this or even a one time donation would be greatly appreciated. We are also looking for resources for fruits and veggies as well as people who would be willing to solicit stores and restaurants for their throw outs. Sometimes we also need people to do regular pick ups of produce from these kinds of sources.

  • {White} Sterilite
           Plastic Storage Drawers

  •        These are used to organize medical supplies and keep them clean from the AZ dust. We need the Sterilite brand so that all of our containers will stack and they need to be white to indicate medical supplies. It is a great help to have storage for all of our much needed medical supplies to be organized and easy to get to.

We will also gladly accept different types of storage containers to help protect other supplies but have the greatest need for the white Sterilite drawers.

If you have these items used or can find them for a good price we would greatly appritate donations.

  • Fencing

  •        Fencing is used to build almost all of our enclosures. It creates a safe habitat for the animals while they are in our care. We would like to build more enclosures to house animals and to build larger enclosures for our educational animals so their quality of life is improved. Chain link is the prefered type of fencing because it is long lasting, durable and able to stand up to weather.
However, we also have a need for welded wire fencing, fence posts, coregated tin or fiberglass roofing and other fencing supplies. Please keep in mind that field fencing gradually gets larger holes from bottom to top and is not as suitable for animal enclosures.

  • Landscaping
              - Trees, Plants & Shrubs

  •        We have a great need for desert hardy plants. They should be drought tollerant and easy to care for. We use plants to improve the habitats of the animals in our care.
These are used for privacy for the animals as well as shade and habitat.

It makes their life while in rehabilitation much less stressful. It also helps fulfill their basic need to hide from humans and helps to discourage human contact, which makes for a better chance of successful release.

If you have a group or organization that would like to volunteer time and effort we would appritiate your efforts to locate these types of plants and install them. Please email tucsonwildlife@aol.com to arrange a group volunteer project.

  • Computer Paper

  •        All of our files and correspondence uses computer or copy paper. It is a continual need that we could really use help fulfilling.

  • Other Items We Use on a Regular Basis...
