Bubba
Our Educational Owl
`

Bubba" is the Tucson Wildlife Center's educational owl. He fell out of his nest when he was just a baby and broke his wing. We took him in and did surgery to repair his wing. He healed well and was able to fly.

Two weeks after his release, Bubba returned to the Center. He was hungry and had not been able to feed himself. At that time, we realized because of the scar tissue that had formed because of his surgery, he was no longer able to fly silently and his prey heard him coming and were able to escape.

Today, Bubba lives happily at the Center with 2 other owls. He goes with us to presentations all over the Tucson area.
